Invitation

The General Board of Pension and Health Benefits invites conference board leadership and benefits administration personnel to attend the 2008-2012 Quadrennial Benefits Conferences. The Quadrennial Benefits Conferences will be held in three locations across the country and provide an opportunity to learn more about the benefits plans and services available for lay and clergy participants of The United Methodist Church.

Purpose

The Quadrennial Benefits Conferences are part of the General Board’s commitment to assist conference boards and benefits officers in the work of providing benefits and to share in the responsibility of caring for those who serve.

Event Information

The Quadrennial Benefits Conferences begin on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with an opening ceremony and entry of conference “teams”. The event concludes on Saturday around noon. Registration will be held on the opening day from 11:00 - 1:30 p.m.

Event Theme

The Quadrennial Benefits Conferences will center on an Olympic theme: Spirit, Determination, Success. Team spirit and commitment—with the determination to use combined talents—results in success we look to with satisfaction, as we continue a century of serving the clergy and lay workers of the Church. We encourage your conference to bring your “team” for training. Together, we will “go for the gold”.
